Kickoff: a week-long college field day?

Summarizing the Kickoff may be a more difficult task than jumping in the freezing cold lake (5 separate times) during the Kickoff...

So here's my attempt: Kickoff was a week and a half of activities planned for the new students. The adorable yellow overalls in the pictures were given to engineering students and then within the yellow overall group, I was with the other international students in our own group called HINT. We had a different activity every day but to start it all off, we had the Overall Ceremony.

To earn our overalls, we had to roll in mud, sand, and soap followed by a nice dip in the icy lake. We also had to perform a group dance. We did it all the time including in the LAKE. If you can find my face in these pictures, you're in for a treat.

On a different day, we had to create a boat out of bathtub. Due to the lack of volunteers to compete in the race, yours truly was selected to help row the bathtub/boat. HINT's theme was Aladdin. We raced through the canal in the center of the city. I am sorry to report that we did not come close to winning, but I can definitely say I will never forget this event.

The whole Kickoff we were referred to as "Zeros" because we have taken 0 exams at the university. Our group leaders were called "Fadders" which is a play on the word "father". In the picture below, my buddy, Mitchey, got Fadder of the Day, and I got a patch for being Zero of the Day! It was truly an honor. #GoChiefs
