Backpack through Europe.... check!

Updated: Nov 9, 2019

What do you do when you have a week off of school and you're studying abroad in Europe? You book all the $15 Ryanair flights you can find, book some hostels, grab your backpack, and you go.

We started our trip in Barcelona...

We went to Park Güell, La Sragrada Familia, the main center, and La Boqueria. But, my favorite by far was the many trips we took to the BEACH. It was so so warm. They had amazing tapas, paella, and some goood sangria to enjoy while watching the waves and soaking up the sun.

Next, we went to Paris...

This trip had an extra special component because I got to see Gina!!!!!! Gina came to stay with my family in Kansas about 10 years ago to study English for the summer. She is now studying engineering in France (smarty pants), so we were able to meet up for half a day. I wish we had more time, but it was so special to get to see her!

I got to see the main monuments: the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and much more..

Our last stop: Dublin, Ireland

We only had about a day in Dublin but we were able to walk around Dublin, take a tour of the Guinness Storehouse (not a fan of the beer but enjoyed my tour), and hit up a few pubs.

Overall, it was great to see all these diverse places. People keep asking: "which one was you favorite?".. but, honestly, I don't have a favorite. Some were more touristy, some smelled better, and some had more to see, but they all had new sights, cultures, and food that I was glad to experience.
